My first ever poetry collection Unspoken Words, with some old ones & some new ones, is out now as both hardcopy & ebook. It contains some of the poems I've already published on Literally Literary & Poets Unlimited on Medium but it also has many new pieces that appear in the book for the first time.
I've always enjoyed poetry by the likes of Emily Dickinson & Robert Frost. But when I came across the spoken-word poet Sarah Kay, I knew I wanted to create poetic art too. A lot of poems in Unspoken Words are spoken-word poetry.
Now the book is out for you to enjoy, I'd soon be posting performances of some of the poems online. Keep an eye out for 'em.
I'm also a writer. I dabble in fiction & script-writing. My first novel The Silent Sound has been out in the market for a while now & I'm working on several other projects including Finding Nour, a script, and An anthology of feminist stories.
I also read a lot. Some of my most favorite works include Last Girl by the Noble Peace Price Winner Nadia Murad, Circe by Madeline Miller, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley, & Other Minds: The Octopus and the Evolution of Intelligent Life by Peter Godfrey-Smith This is perhaps why I'm so fascinated with telling stories myself.
The Silent Sound is a crime thriller at its heart. But it subtly explores the human emotional motivations for our actions. I've created characters that readers can identify with & a twist in the story that I'm sure makes it a page-turner. Click the button below to read the blurb & reviews from readers like you.
