Photography by Sriteja

Photography tells us much more than it shows. It is a memory made perpetual.  Whenever I travel, I try to capture the world as much as possible from the usual tourist spots to the lesser known streets and alleys of cities, the nature, and the local people and life. Some of the pictures I think are really good are shown here.
Ljubljana
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is probably one of the most beautiful small cities I have ever seen. From its bridges across the river Ljubljanica to its castle sitting atop the hill as if it is overseeing the city, everything is as beautiful as you can imagine. Nights become even more magnificent with the lights. The food is simply wonderful. The climate mesmerising. A must visit in the part of East Europe to capture a mix of architecture, modernity, beauty and art.
Bohinj
Bohinj is a small town on the Lake Bohinj, an hour drive from Ljubljana. It is, undoubtedly, the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Even the most beautiful places in Switzerland, like Interlaken, could not compete with it. The drive there itself is so mesmerising that you will end up wanting to and back and again to Bohinj. The water is so clear that you can see the base of the lake. It is handsdown a place that you will remember for your entire life.
Verona
Verona, a city in Italy's Veneto region, lies around the river Adige and offers a medieval feel. Famous for where Romeo and Juliet was set, it even offers tourist traps like Juliet's balcony and sweets named after the famous lovers.
Peschiera del Garda and Sirmione
A brief drive from Verona takes you to  Peschiera del Garda and Sirmione, two tiny towns on Lake Garda in Italy. While Peschiera is more famous for tourists, Sirmione offers an experience unlike most.
Bled
Bled is another small town on Lake Bled at the foot of Julian Alps. With a 11th-century castle on the hill top and a long coastline, Bled offers beautiful views. It is on the route between Ljubljana and Bohinj. While Bled is quite famous with tourists, in fact the streets would be crowded with them in the season, Bohinj is much less crowded and much more beautiful than Bled is.
