The Raining Fire
A Kia Hills and Jessica Morgan's journey to reveal the past while solving a case in the present.
The Raining Fire is a murder thriller with two storylines that grip the reader's interest and takes the reader into the minds of the characters. A killer is on the prowl, targeting men with children. He takes control of the men in high risk locations and hang them to death. As soon as the breath is sucked out of his victims, the killer cuts the body into parts and leaves the parts in various designs for the people to find them easily.
Such a killer is always a sensation in the otherwise peaceful city of Kallo. Last time such a killer walked the streets, five dead bodies turned up in secluded areas. Kia Hills, detective of Kallo PD, brought the killer to justice. Even this time, she has a responsibility to serve her city. Along with Ash, her colleague and her partner with whom she now moved in and Dr. Jennifer, the best forensic expert in the country, and rest of her team, Kia embarks on a journey to apprehend the murderer who is killing all these men as milestones to his final destination, his final act.
But Kia still has the burden of solving her mother's mysterious death. Her mother died when Kia was 11. Since then, she relived that night several times. Finally, it is her chance now to solve the case. With her mother's case file in hand, the Chief of Kallo PD's support, and Jessica Morgan, a young novice yet brilliant officer as assistant, Kia has to put the pieces together, reveal the past and face the most darkest secret of her life.
The more Kia and Jessica dig out about Kia's and her parents' past, the more dangerous events unfold and a viscious mind comes into the picture. Why was Kia's mother killed? Where did her father disappear? Does the killer intends to end Kia too? Meanwhile will Kia solve the serial homicide in the present?
