Kia Hills grew up with in Kallo & became the youngest detective in the homicide department of Kallo PD. With her own past & a goal to catch her own father for killing her mother, Kia is now tasked to bring the killer to justice before more innocent lives are lost.
Grace Withers can't stand crime scenes anymore. She can't hold a gun. Once a best detective, everything changed when she came home to find her husband lying in the pool of his own blood - a horror one can't describe in words. Since then, she moved to Missing Persons Bureau trying to avoid violent crimes until now. When she finds the corpse of a missing girl she is chasing, her path crosses with Kia's & it's a nightmare Grace is not yet read going down.
Things go even more awry when one of Kallo PD's own gets killed. Then comes a twist in the story that defeats all assumptions & evidence. The killer seems to be going that extra mile to cover tracks. The killer left prints behind but the DNA does not match anyone in the system. The trail of murder weapons left at each crime scene runs dry. The question now is if Kia & Grace can save someone from becoming the sixth victim. All evidence leads to a death occurred months ago. All clues go haywire. Kia & Grace soon find themselves in the crosshairs of the killer. A brilliant, manipulating & cruel mind. Now, Kia & Grace have to save themselves too.

The story line is first rate, the characters are believable and well developed, there's never a dull moment--who could ask. for more. I loved the authors style of writing. Every paged flowed beautifully into the next. The dialogue between characters was spot on. This one will keep you happily up nights.
Loved The Silent Sound!
By Vu Le Huy February 18, 2014
Although the novel immediately drops the reader into a crime scene, it manages to evolve into a nail-biting thriller, inch by inch revealing glimpses of a disturbed mind. The growing suspense in the novel is proficiently portrayed by the introduction of jaw-dropping shockers, giving the story an almost three-dimensional feel. Also the plot has been well designed, leaving the reader perplexed at the climax of the thriller and paying attention to scientific details in the investigation.
Admitting the minor characters are not fleshed out as they could have been, the author does manage to shift the focus of the novel from any blood-soaked scenes to the psyche of protagonists Kia and Grace, making it very accessible for different types of readers. Additionally, as the author has put lots of detail into the main story line, the subplot tends to disappear into the background, perhaps leaving settings too much to the reader’s imagination. Nevertheless, as this is only the author’s first novel, we can’t wait for more!

Well paced story with a few twists to keep the readers' interest. I would buy more novels by the author.
If you like CSI, you like the Silent Sound
By Andreas Mayer December 30, 2013
I can highly recommend this novel to anyone who is either fan of the CSI / CIS series or who is into crime novels. I had the opportunity to proof read it and I really did enjoy it. The storyline takes several turns and the author managed to keep my interest for the whole time I was reading it. Its great work, especially when keeping in mind that it is Sriteja's first book.
